Material Honesty in Modern Indian Interiors
Interior projects often suffer from material excess — too many finishes, too many competing textures in a single home. Our approach is subtractive.
At Kanke Hills Residence, we specified three primary materials: makrana marble, Indian teak, and handloom fabric. Three materials across a full home create a coherence that no mood board alone can achieve.
Material honesty means allowing each substance to express its nature in Ranchi's light and climate. Marble feels cool. Teak feels warm. Handloom breathes. When these qualities are respected, spaces acquire a depth that imported palettes cannot replicate.
